Three WSC Teams to Represent Conference in SoCal Playoffs

Three teams will represent the Western State Conference in the upcoming Southern California Playoffs. Ventura College, Santa Barbara City College, and Glendale College all earned post-season berths. Ventura earned the top seed in Southern California, while Glendale was tabbed as the #5 seed. Santa Barbara meanwhile was the last WSC team to get in, garnering the #7 seed. Ventura will open up the post-season by hosting #8 Palomar College, while Glendale will travel to #3 San Diego Mesa College. Santa Barbara meanwhile, will also be on the road off to take on the #2 College of the Desert.

The Ventura College Men’s Tennis team represented the Western State Conference well throughout the 2013 season, but their quest for a 2013 CCCAA State Championship ended this past weekend in the State Championship final. The Pirates fell to defending State Champs Fresno City College 5-1.

The Western State Conference was well represented by Ventura College at the 2013 California Community College Athletic Association Single and Doubles State Championships. Ventura got a runer-up finish on the singles side, and won a State Championship in doubles.
