Victor Valley Takes First Ever WSC South Title in First WSC Season
The Victory Valley College Men’s Soccer team made a statement in it’s first ever season as a member of the Western State Conference. The Rams won the first ever WSC South Title, the 2016 season was the first ever year in which the WSC was split into two divisions for Men’s Soccer, clinching it in the final game of the conference slate.

Headed into their final game at Glendale College, the Rams needed a win or a tie to hold off the host Vaqueros, who trailed Victor Valley by two points and needed a win to claim the WSC South Championship. Glendale would strike early, scoring in both the 2nd and 14th minutes to take a 2-0 lead.
The Rams would rally with scores in the 25th minute and just before halftime with the game tying goal in the 40th minute by Diego Manzo to make it 2-2. After that, the Rams hung on for the final 50 minutes of action, as goal keeper Arron Herrera stopped eight shots in the contest to help preserve the title.
