Ventura's Patterson, Arteaga Sweep WSC Men's Water Polo Awards
Ventura sophomore Owen Patterson was named Player of the Year and head coach Mike Arteaga named Coach of the Year as the 2025 Western State Conference men's water polo awards were announced on Saturday.
Patterson scored 114 goals on 182 shots in his sophomore campaign, adding 35 assists, and scoring 149 points. He recorded 49 steals and 16 blocks.
Arteaga, in his second season, led the Pirates to a 4-2 WSC record, 22-13 overall.
