Lockhart, Ephan, and Wissmath Earn WSC Blue Division Awards
College of the Canyons sophomore pitcher Kimmie Lockhart and her Head Coach John Wissmath were named the Western State Conference Blue Division Pitcher and Coach of the Year recently. Meanwhile Citrus College freshman Kawehi Ephan took home the WSC Blue Division Player of the Year Award.
College of the Canyons sophomore pitcher Kimmie Lockhart and her Head Coach John Wissmath were named the Western State Conference Blue Division Pitcher and Coach of the Year recently. Meanwhile Citrus College freshman Kawehi Ephan took home the WSC Blue Division Player of the Year Award.
Lockhart was a perfect 15-0 in the circle for the Cougars in WSC Blue play in 2013, leading the conference in wins, innings pitched (85.2), strikeouts (96), and third in ERA (2.39). Lockhart helped guide the Cougars along with Wissmath to a perfect 18-0 conference mark in 2013, earning their second straight conference crown.
Ephan meanwhile helped the Owls to a second place finish and 14-4 mark in conference play. Ephan led the league in batting (.647), on-base percentage (.738), slugging (1.471), HR's (8), and was second in RBI's (26).
