The Oxnard College Men’s Soccer program wrapped up it’s third straight Western State Conference Championship recently. It’s the Condors’ fourth WSC title in the last five year and their sixth overall.
The Oxnard College Men's Soccer program wrapped up it's third straight Western State Conference Championship recently. It's the Condors' fourth WSC title in the last five year and their sixth overall.
The Condors totaled up 40 points in WSC play in 2014. Oxnard didn't drop a single conference contest, going 12-0-4 in conference play and 13-3-5 overall. Sophomore forward Johnny Lopez carried the offensive load with 13 goals on the year. The Condors are the first team to three-peat since Santa Barbara City College pulled off the feat between the 1995-1997 seasons.
Oxnard will also be, the lone representative for the Western State Conference in the upcoming California Community College Southern California Playoffs. The Condors were awarded the #11 seed and will travel to #6 Long Beach City College on Saturday for a 2:00 PM showdown.
