The Cougars also picked up wins in the Shot Put where Marvin Magg won with a toss of 13 Meters. Canyons rounded out the wins on the weekend with a victory in the 4 x 100 Relay with a time of 42.52 seconds.
For Glendale, the Vaqueros picked up points in just 13 of the 20 events, but when they picked up points they picked them up in large chunks. In addition to Nelson's wins in those three events, Glendale claimed the top three spots in the 1500M and 5000M, and the first, third, and fourth place finishes in the 10000M. Glendale added three more victories in the field events, thanks to performances by Justice Shank in the High Jump (1.71M), Aisiah Tuiasosopo in the Discus (39.28), and Ana Tonga in the Javelin (37.65).
