Canyons Sweeps WSC South Volleyball Awards
After putting together one of it’s best seasons in it’s program’s storied history, the College of the Canyons Women’s Volleyball program swept the top honors in the WSC South for the third straight year. Freshman outside hitter Emily Bible was named the Player of the Year, while Head Coach Lisa Hooper was named the Coach of the Year, her fifth honor over all and third straight.

Freshman outside hitter Emily Bible was named the Player of the Year, while Head Coach Lisa Hooper was named the Coach of the Year, her fifth honor over all and third straight.
Bible was one of the top offensive threats in the state in her inaugural collegiate campaign. Bible averaged 3.80 kills per set on a .313 kill percentage, while averaging 3.60 digs per set. Bible added 19 blocks and 39 aces as she became the second freshman in the last three years in the WSC South to earn the Player of the Year nod.
Hooper meanwhile took the Cougars all the way to the CCCAA State Championships where the finished 3rd. The Cougars finished the season 26-4 overall and a perfect 12-0 in WSC South play.
