Valley Sweeps Post-Season Awards
Los Angeles Valley College swept the top two post-season awards for women’s water polo in the Western State Conference. Head Coach Pete Loporchio was named the Coach of the Year and sophomore Sabrina Hatzer was named the Player of the Year.
Los Angeles Valley College swept the top two post-season awards for women's water polo in the Western State Conference. Head Coach Pete Loporchio was named the Coach of the Year and sophomore Sabrina Hatzer was named the Player of the Year.
Loporchio led the Monarchs to a 22-5 overall mark and 6-1 WSC record this past year, a second place WSC regular season finish and a WSC Tournament Championship. Loporchio also guided the Monarchs through the 2013 Southern California Regionals where they finished in fourth place.
Hatzer was the top player for the Monarchs this past season leading LA Valley in every major category. Hatzer scored 104 goals, handed out 61 assists, and grabbed 105 steals. All three marks were also all Top 5 in the State, and all led the WSC.
