LA Valley Wins WSC Championships
The Los Angeles Valley College Women’s Water Polo team avenged an earlier loss in the year to Los Angeles Pierce College in Western State Conference play, with a win over the Brahmas this past weekend in the Championship Game of the 2013 Western State Conference Championships. It’s the first WSC Tournament title for the Monarchs since 2003.

The #2 seed headed into the conference tournament, LA Valley opened up the weekend with a 13-5 win over Ventura College in the semi-finals. In the championship game, Valley defeated Pierce 9-5, getting four goals from Sabrina Hatzer.
LA Valley and others are expected to qualify for the 2013 CCCAA Southern California Playoffs which will be announced in the next couple of days.
