Harrington Reins in CCCBCA Player of the Week Honors
Glendale sophomore catcher James Harrington earned California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) SoCal Player of the Week honors for Week No. 12 (Apr. 6-12), announced Thursday.
Harrington led No. 18 Glendale to a three-game sweep of West LA last week behind the swing of his bat. While he had limited plate appearances, he made them count, going 5-for-7 with three homers and nine RBI, while scoring seven runs. In game two of the series, Harrington was perfect at the plate, knocking six runs in with his perfect 3-for-3 outing that included a grand slam and solo shot.
He is joined by Citrus sophomore first baseman Cam Casado, who was also named SoCal Player of the Week, and Santa Ana freshman Andrew Phillips, who earned SoCal Pitcher of the Week honors.
