College of the Canyons Wins 2013 WSC Championships
College of the Canyons won the 2013 Western State Conference Men’s Golf Championships this past week. The Cougars fired a team combined score of 727 over two rounds, edging second place Santa Barbara City College by five strokes.

The Cougars used a balanced lineup at Soule Park Country Club to pull out the team victory. Canyons had three players finish in the individual Top 6, including second place finisher Luke Kristo (139) and third place finisher Jake Katz (141). Santa Barbara had the tournament's top finisher as Steven Lam fired back to back rounds of 68 and 69 to claim an individual conference championship.
Ventura College would finish 3rd in the event with a team score of 749. They were followed by Glendale College (755), Bakersfield College (767), Citrus College (770), and Allan Hancock College (777). Canyons, Santa Barbara, and Ventura all advance as a team, while Glendale's Jin Park will represent individually.
