Groswirt Adds State Player of the Week Honor to Resume after Triple-Double Performance
Sacramento, Calif. - Santa Barbara City College redshirt freshman setter/opposite Stephanie Groswirt added CCCWVCA State Player of the Week honor to her resume after a triple-double performance last week, announced Monday.
In the team's lone match of the week, Groswirt tallied 13 kills, 21 assists, and 14 digs, while adding three blocks, in the four-set win over Ventura on October 8, marking her fourth triple-double this season. Overall, she has led the Vaqueros to a 14-1 overall record, 4-0 in conference, and is currently averaging 2.45 kills, 5.51 assists, and 2.76 digs per set, while hitting .320.
Groswirt is the sixth CCCWVCA State Player of the Week from the Western State Conference this season. She joins teammates middle blocker Hazel Irvine (Week No. 2) and outside hitter Bayley Padia (Week No. 4), LA Mission's outside hitter Madison "Maddie" Perry (Week No. 4) and middle blocker Amya Cheatham-January (Week No. 7), and Santa Monica's middle blocker/outside hitter/libero Mia Whitlock (Week No. 7).
Grossmont outside hitter Andrea Torres and Sacramento City libero Mariah Azua join Groswirt as the other two CCCWVCA State Players of the Week for Week No. 8.
