Los Angeles Pierce College and Santa Barbara City College split the 2013 Western State Conference North Division championship this past week. Both schools finished with a 11-1 mark in WSC North play and split their regular season meeting.

Five WSC Teams Qualify for CCCAA Playoffs

A total of five Western State Conference teams will be representing the WSC in the upcoming 2013 CCCAA Playoffs. Los Angeles Pierce College and Santa Barbara City College made it out of the WSC North, while College of the Canyons, Bakersfield College, and Citrus College all made it from the WSC South.

Santa Barbara Advances to Regional Finals

Santa Barbara City College, co-champs of the WSC North and the #4 seed in the 2013 post-season advanced to the 2013 CCCAA Volleyball SoCal Regional Finals on Saturday evening with a five set victory over #12 Pasadena City College. The win makes SBCC that last remaining WSC team in the post-season.

Western State Conference North Division Co-Champ Santa Barbara City College and Western State Conference South Division Champ College of the Canyons both moved on to round #2 on Tuesday evening after picking up wins in the first round of the 2013 CCCAA Women’s Volleyball Southern California Regionals.

The College of the Canyons Volleyball team claimed their third overall Western State Conference South Division title on Wednesday evening with a win at Bakersfield College. It’s also their first conference title since 2000.
