Sanchez and Barba Grab WSC North Awards
Ventura College’s Lisa Marie Sanchez and Cuesta College Head Women’s Basketball Ron Barba were given the top WSC North honors recently. Sanchez was the WSC North Player of the Year, while Barba was named the WSC North Coach of the Year.

Sanchez led the Pirates in averaging 11.4 points and 5.7 assists per game. Sanchez shot 42.8% from the floor and an astounding 43.2% from three.
Barba was named the Coach of the Year after leading Cuesta to a 19-11 overall record and 7-3 mark in WSC North play.
