Five Women’s Basketball Programs to Represent WSC in Upcoming Post-Season
The 2014 California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Women’s Basketball Playoff seeds were announced on Monday afternoon, and the Western State Conference will have five representatives in the post-season. The WSC North got four seeds, while the WSC South will be represented by just their conference champ.

The WSC North got four seeds, while the WSC South will be represented by just their conference champ.
WSC North Champ Ventura College (27-3, 12-0) earned the #1 overall seed, while the WSC South Champ Los Angeles Valley College (25-5, 12-0) nabbed the #3 overall seed. Cuesta College (22-7, 7-5) was given the #8 seed, while College of the Canyons (13-14, 7-5) was seeded #13 overall and Moorpark College (16-12, 7-5) was seeded #18 overall.
The Pirates will take Wednesday off before starting things off on Saturday night against the winner of #16 Santa Ana College and #17 Palomar College. The Monarchs will kick off their playoff run on Friday when they host #14 East Los Angeles College. The Cougars of Cuesta will start out on Friday night too by playing host to #9 Orange Coast College. College of the Canyons will be on the road on Friday when they take on #4 Pasadena City College. The Raiders meanwhile will be the lone WSC women's team to play on Wednesday when they travel to #15 Cypress College for the right to take on #2 overall seed Mt. San Antonio College on Saturday.
